In 1991, Can-Oat built its? first ?state of the art? oat processing facility in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, soon to be followed by a second plant in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in 1997. Can-Oat became a wholly owned subsidiary of Saskatchewan Wheat Pool on April 30, 1998.

Can-Oat Milling today is one of the most respected oat millers in North America and the largest industrial supplier of oat products in the world, with production capacity of over 1 million pounds of oat products per day.
