With a set mission to provide a comprehensive range of products and services, incorporating advanced technology, to develop agriculture and enhance productivity, Agriworld was set up in 1990.
In 1993, the Company was incorporated & commenced working with several world-leading agricultural companies to introduce advanced agricultural technology to Sri Lankan agri-entrepreneurs. In 1996, Agriworld (Pte) Ltd came into a strategical alliance with the world's leading agri-technology Company, NETAFIM of Israel. Pioneers in Drip Irrigation technology, NETAFIM's name is known in the world for their outstanding quality (ISO 9002) and reliability.
Looking ahead to the 21 century and the realisation that maximization of crop yields would be of vital importance, our clear focus was to introduce the most advanced technologies such as Drip and Sprinkler Irrigation Systems and Protected Agriculture, mainly Greenhouses, to achieve increased agricultural productivity. This clear vision of ours made us the leaders in advanced technology agriculture in Sri Lanka, today.
With strong support from NETAFIM, we face the future with utmost confidence, well aware that we are fully geared to undertake agricultural projects of the highest magnitude.
