Chitale Bandhu Mithaiwale Firm was promoted by Shri. Raghunathrao Chitale (Bhausaheb) in 1950 at 985, Sadashiv Peth, Kunte Chowk, Pune on very small scale. This place was changed to 777, Sadashiv Peth, Bajirao Road, Pune in 1964. The expansion was done by his younger brother Shri. N. B. (Rajabhau) Chitale, B.Com. Branch was opened in 1954 at Deccan Gymkhana, Pune's Elite area.
Inspiration to start this dairy products & mithai selling was given by their father Late Shri. Bhaskar Ganesh Chitale.
Since 1950 three firms (1) M/s. B. G. Chitale Dairy Farm at Bhilawadi Rly. Station, Dist. Sangli (Maharashtra) (2) M/s. Chitale Bandhu Mithaiwale in Pune selling Ghee, Butter, Chakka and Producing Pedha, Burfy, Shrikhand, Basundi, Farsan etc. And (3) M/s. Shivsantosh Dugdhalaya only distributing milk in & around Pune city are working in Maharashtra.
